Update from EHA
As more information is received from OMB and HUD, we will provide updates on this news item.
On January 27, the federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) sent out an executive order from President Trump concerning the Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs. This would remain in effect until February 10, 2025. Everett Housing Authority (EHA) previously received confirmation from HUD that the Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program was not subject to the pause. EHA understands that the Office of Management and Budget has since rescinded the memo.
EHA will receive the February tenant-based rental assistance payments as scheduled.
What does this mean for our clients?
Right now, this means that there will be no disruption to our clients or landlords receiving assistance from EHA in any of our programs. We are actively watching our industry news sources and will provide additional updates as we receive them.
